The CBU chapter of IEEE, would like to thank Mr. Puesh Kumar, Mr. Steven Brown, and Dr. Alan Proffitt for taking to time to speak to our chapter on August 23, 2007.
Mr. Puesh Kumar is an Electrical Engineering graduate from The University of Memphis. He presently works as a Power and Structures Engineer at Memphis Light, Gas, & Water and serves as the Vice Chair of the Memphis Section of IEEE. Mr. Steven Brown, P.E.is a Lead Substation Engineer with Memphis Light, Gas and Water. Mr. Brown has previously served as chairman of the Memphis IEEE IAS/PES Chapter and is a member of the IEEE PES Substations Committee.
Dr. Alan Proffitt is an Assistant Professor at the University of Memphis, where he lectures in the Department of Engineering Technology. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Arkansas, and continues to represent IEEE as a program evaluator for TAC of ABET. Dr. Proffitt is a senior member of IEEE, ISA, ASEE, the Army Engineer Association, and the Reserve Officers Association.
The student chapter of IEEE at CBU would also like to thank all its members and prospective members who attended the club meeting.
